The Commitment

I am not committing myself to a certain time frame for completing this “simplification” for a few reasons.  Firstly, I do not wish to get frustrated if I miss my deadline.  Secondly, I have no clue how long it should take to organize an entire house, yard, shed, car, computers, etc.  Thirdly, life’s commitments tend to get in the way of TO DO LISTS all the time.  I do know that I plan to clean out every corner of my life in a way that makes me feel less burdened and more organized.  I plan to never have to turn a room (or entire house) upside down to find that certain something again.  I believe that this will take up to one year to complete because I am allowing for holidays and seasons to pass in order to sift through those specialty items.

So I do commit to the following:

·         I pledge to take one step at a time toward a clutter-free simplified life.

·         I pledge to do SOMETHING toward this goal each and every day.

·         I pledge to find a place for everything.

·         I pledge to not bring anything new in without getting rid of something.

·         I pledge to complete one task before I move on to the next.

·         I pledge to track this progress through this blog.
